How can I change a Maid's Visit/Tourist visa to Housemaid Visa in Dubai/UAE?

STEPS TO FOLLOW
1. Make No relation Certificate from Indian Consulate Attestation Centre (This is applicable only if the Maid is from same nationality of the Sponsor). If the sponsor is different national, start from No.2*

Required Documents for No Relation Certificate:
1. Passport copy of Sponsor, Spouse and Maid
2. Original passports of Sponsor and Spouse
3. Affidavit Form will be filled by attestation centre staff (IVS)
4. Attestation Fees Dh60 (typing charge extra)

• Attested Affidavit can be collected after one hour

2*. Prepare maid visa application from Typing Centre. Fees: Dh220 should be paid at Typing Centre (typing charge extra).

• Attach following documents and submit at the Immigration

Required Documents for Visa
• Maid's passport copy + one photograph with white background.
• Sponsor's and spouse's passport Copy with visa page.
 
• Labour Contract copy. If the sponsor is a private sector employee, the Labour Contract should be attested from Immigration on payment of Dh120. This can be done at the time of submitting visa application.

• No need attestation for Government/Semi-government/Free zone staff.
• If the sponsor is an Investor/Partner: Copy of the Contract showing his/her shareholding, Copy of the partners' financial security deposit (if any), copy of the Trade License and Partners List (for LLC).

• Sponsor's monthly salary should not be less than Dh6,000 or Dh5,000 plus accommodation.

• Copy of residence Tenancy Contract consisting of two bedrooms. It has to be registered through Ejari online system of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). Out of Dubai residents can submit their Tenancy contract (Municipality attested) and Electricity bill without Ejari registration.

• Copy of Electricity and Water Bill in the name of applicant or spouse.

• Attach all above documents and submit at Immigration office. Pay Dh2020 as refundable deposit and Dh680 to issue visa inside country and Dh220 as file opening fees.

• Visit Visa holder / Cancelled previous visa stage: If the maid is on Visit Visa or staying here after cancelled previous visa, she can change status without exit.
• After receiving the visa, prepare Status Change form from Typing Centre (Fees: Dh510+typing charge), sign the sponsor and submit it at the Immigration office. They will give you a status change proof paper. After that only maid can do medical test.

• If she is on Tourist Visa, she can get visa inside country on payment of Dh680, then she must exit to Oman or neighbor country and enter on new maid visa. Visa change package is available from Fly Dubai, Air Arabia and some other airlines on payment of Dh650 (approx).
NOTE: Special approval required to get maid visa if she is inside country on Tourist Visa.

• Now she has 60 days time to complete Medical, Emirates ID and Visa Stamping.

MAID VISA STAMPING REQUIREMENTS (After Entry/Status Change)

Required Documents:
• Maid's original passport & Visa
• Passport copy of sponsor
• Three photographs of the Maid with white background (2 photos for medical & one for visa)
• Dh2020 Deposit receipt copy
• Original Medical Certificate
• Labour Contract / Salary certificate of the sponsor
• Tenancy Contract and Electricity Bill Copy
• Maid Visa stamping Fees: Dh5090 (typing charge extra)
Dh100 extra for urgent delivery of passport (pay at typing centre)
Dh20 for ordinary delivery by the Courier (to be paid at Immigration)

MEDICAL
Dh310 Normal (5 working days)
Dh420 (48 hours)
Dh520 (24 hours) - Typing charge extra

EMIRATES ID:
Emirates ID application to be submitted at the Immigration along with visa stamping form.
FEE: Dh170 (for one year)

NOTE: Indian Consulate procedures for Immigration clearance do not require if the Maid is inside UAE on Visit Visa or in previous visa cancelled stage. But Dh1230 to be paid extra for Status Change (Dh680 to issue visa inside the country and Dh550 for status amendment).
